July 11th, 2021 Naadam Festival

Naadam also called Nair, is translated from Mongolian, means entertainment and games.

This festival is to express the joy of the harvest. It’s kind important for Mongolians life.

The Naadam meeting held in July and August every year when the livestock is fatter is a cultural,

sports and entertainment meeting held by people to celebrate the harvest.

The content of the Naadam Conference mainly includes traditional national events such as

wrestling, horse racing, archery, horse riding, and Mongolian chess.

In some places, there are sports events such as track and field, tug-of-war, basketball, etc.

These days, people will have a lot of beef and mutton and its smoked and dried products,

cheese, dried milk, cream, milk bumps, milk tofu, yogurt, etc.

 

And Naadam was Included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list,

it’s really a great national culture!
