Among the traditional festivals in Thailand, the most beautiful one is "Loy Kra Thong" (Loy Kra Thong). The Loy Krathong Festival is the most meaningful and mythological festival in Thailand. It is held on the night of December 15th in the Thai calendar every year (November in the Gregorian calendar). In this period after the rainy season, Thailand is a beautiful season when the river is rising and the moon is refreshing. According to Thai traditional customs, Thai people will put their hand-made water lanterns into the river on the day of Loy Krathong, to place their good wishes and blessings in their hearts.
